We’re growing — and we’re looking for a detail-driven Designer to join our Whitby team.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Designer, you’ll transform client needs into precise, buildable designs that directly impact the efficiency and safety of industrial storage systems. You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design & Drafting
    • Create and revise 2D CAD drawings and structural layouts
    • Use SolidWorks to design new products in a 3D environment, supporting innovation and product development
    • Interpret architectural and structural plans
    • Generate bills of materials and project specifications
  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving
    • Partner with sales, engineering, and production teams to resolve design challenges
    • Support quotations and proposals with accurate material take-offs
  • Project Support
  • Conduct site visits as required
  • Maintain drawing databases and documentation
  • Stay current with AutoCAD and SolidWorks best practices

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a problem-solving mindset.

 

MUST HAVES:

  • Diploma or degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or Engineering (Mechanical/Structural)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and time management

 

NICE-TO-HAVES:

  • 2+ years of structural design/drafting experience
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Programming knowledge (any language)

 

SALARY:

$50,000 – $60,000

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: 300 Hopkins St., Whitby, Ontario
  • Note: This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available.
