Roll Formed Systems Designed And Installed. USA Based, Multi-Platform Assembly Facility, Requiring Just-In-Time Parts Delivery And Warehousing, Contacted NAS In Order To Improve Operations And Workflow Efficiency To Meet Expanding Product Line.

Very Narrow Aisle Racking (VNA) – A 25’ tall system for small parts storage and picking. Utilizes the NAS 4000 Series frames and took advantage of the multiple beam options available for that product line.


Front mount Step beams were specified for structural integrity and Light Duty 5000 series beams were used throughout to minimize cost and increase storage density. Custom Wire Mesh panels were designed to the customers specifications for this application of very narrow aisle racking.


Three Level Pick Tower – A hybrid system utilizing a roll formed structure with heavy duty structural beam components to provide wide aisle accessibility. This tower is used to store fast and slow moving parts required to maintain the production line stock levels. North American Steel worked with the customer to create a layout that best serviced the mixed product storage which included floor storage and shelf pick. NAS also designed the pallet drop gates, stairs, and enhanced flooring details to meet the demanding needs of the different types of material handling equipment used by the associates.


Selective Pallet Racking with Set Back (Cant) Leg Frames – NAS designed the multi-use selective bays to accommodate the cross-platform components and assembly parts stored here. The customer was interested in utilizing a damage resistant frame design to minimize lost time due to bay lock out.


Additionally, in rack sprinklers installed required custom backstop beams designed to provide bay separation while maintaining code mandated flue space requirements.


As added value for this customer, NAS utilized a custom colour palette to match the customers corporate appearance, and coordinated installation efforts across multiple trades. Additionally, NAS continues to maintain these installations as part of an ongoing service commitment to our customers.
